HEIDY PANAMENO

Heidy Panameno is an award-winning Documentary Film Maker from Red Deer Alberta. A graduate of the Emily Carr University and recipient of the '2021 Woman Of Excellence Award in Arts, Culture & Heritage.' She creates content focused on community development and has worked for the Wild Rose School Division in the area of 'Indigenous Language and Story Preservation.'

 

Promoting community through the Telus Story Hive and the Alberta Media Development Fund, Heidy is helping youth develop their film making skills.

Heidy’s achievements as a low-key-hero have awarded her biography to be preserved into the 'Women’s Art Museum of Canada.' She is an avid volunteer, and serves on many non-profit boards to promote a strong foundation for the future of her community. She is a writer, director, and producer -- with a love for editing and animation. Her budding career envelops podcasts and feature films.
